If I’m understanding this correctly, one of the early designs for 2-1B was later used for Jabba’s torture droid, EV-9D9.
Omikron: The Nomad Soul (1999) was a PC cyberpunk adventure game starring David Bowie.
Initially approached to do some incidental music, Bowie, with his spirit of adventure, immediately dived into it, suggesting scenes, writing songs, involving his wife Iman, and generally turning the game into a kind of David Bowie project. Much of the music he wrote for it ended up on his album Hours.
The game was made available after Bowie’s death on the Steam platform.
